World Book Week at RAP
Posted 23rd February 2023
Next week we are celebrating World Book Week in school and we have been fortunate enough to purchase about 50 new Little People Big Dreams Books using the money from September's Sponsored Read.
Thank you again for supporting us with this event as, without it, we would not be able to afford these new books. Each class has chosen a selection of books to keep in their classroom and we will probably also use them in our Diverse Picture Book Assemblies next year. Each class will be reading these inspirational books and doing some sort of activity based on the Little People Big Dreams.
If children would like to dress up as someone inspirational, in the spirit of the Little People Big Dreams books, then they can choose to do this on Friday March 3rd. This could be someone who has already been written about in one of the books or someone they would like to be written about in the future. This is purely optional, as it is the enjoyment of books which is the true focus of World Book Day.
Your child should have already received their World Book Day token which can be exchanged for one of the special World Book Days books (found in larger supermarkets and all book shops). Or you can use the World Book Day token to receive a £1 discount for any book of your choosing.
Hope everyone enjoys World Book Week - I know I will!
