What we're proud of...

Pupil Voice Ambassadors and Charities

We are here to represent and ‘be the voice’ of all children in our school community and to enable everyone to make Rossett Acre the very best it can be.

Each class from Year Two to Six has two Pupil Voice Ambassadors who are elected by our peers. We are representatives and leaders. We would really like to make a difference at school.

The group this year is …….

PVA 1  PVA 2

We are a committed bunch and meet each week with Mrs Nimick to discuss and organise our ideas. Our aim is to hold a series of events throughout the year which will help us to raise money for school-based projects, such as shelters for the playground, and for charities that we feel passionate about. One idea that is already being organised is an Easter disco. Other ideas include an Easter Egg raffle; a colour run; ‘splat the teacher’ at the summer fair; and what’s in the box? to name but a few.

The school tuck shop is up and running again which will further add to our fundraising efforts – each week sees a different year group have their turn. Popcorn seems to be very popular!

If anyone has an issue or an idea they would like to be discussed – adult or pupil – they can contact their class PVA representative.

We are Pupil Voice Ambassadors.

We are the glue that holds the whole school together!

We are PVA!

Our current activities include:-

Our PVA (Pupil Voice Ambassadors) committee have chosen Comic Relief to be our main charity event this year outside of money raising activities for school-based projects. So, during the week beginning Monday 13th March, everyone is invited to take part in our ‘Joke-a-Thon’. Anyone can tell a joke, or two or even three to their class and then a vote will determine which joke is the funniest to be put forward to our celebration assembly on Friday 17th March.

Each joke will cost 50p to tell.

For another 50p, we can wear red for the day or choose to wear Comic Relief merchandise. Unfortunately, we cannot have this year’s red noses in school as they have small parts and are not suitable for children under 7.

Have a read of the hilarious jokes from our Joke-a-Thon for Red Nose Day

If you would like to make further donations to Comic Relief then please visit our school JustGiving page here
